Nadia Hironaka is Chair of the MICA Film and Video BFA located in the Film Centre and a video artist residing in Philadelphia. She received her Masters of Fine Art from The Art Institute of Chicago and her Bachelors of Fine Art from The University of the Arts.

In 2015, she received the Guggenheim Fellowship. Additionally, she is a 2008 Pennsylvania Council on the Arts fellow, and she received a Pew Fellowship in the Arts in 2006. Her films and video installations have been exhibited internationally in across and the world, including Venezuela, Paris, and Japan.

As of 2008, Nadia Hironaka and Matthew Suib have been working as artistic collaborators. Their collaborations have been exhibited in museums, galleries and film festivals worldwide. The Fall (2010) was recently acquired by the Philadelphia Museum of Art for their permanent collection.
